Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Liu1126 (talk) 14:13, 14 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There are three places in the article (including the Infobox and a table listing "Chancellors and Presidents of SIU") in which Austin A. Lane is listed but not wiki-linked. Can someone please add the appropriate wiki-links? 96.69.249.93 (talk) 14:40, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Note: It is usually best to only wikilink a term once in an article. Shadow311 (talk) 15:47, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: That is usually true for the main part of the article, but exceptions are usually made for the {{Infobox}} and for summary tables since a lack of wiki-links in these two exceptions could lead the casual reader to believe that the lack of wiki-links in these summary-type boxes could imply lack of an article (unless the same link appears multiple times within the Infobox or within the table of interest, one wiki-link per Infobox or table would suffice). (In this particular case, a reader might just want to know who is the current chancellor for this particular university and will not bother to scan the rest of the article looking for a wiki-link to the current chancellor.) If there are strong disagreement with this, please let us discuss this in more detail on a more general wiki-style forum so that a more general consensus can be generated and the conversation can be record for posterity. 96.69.249.93 (talk) 16:29, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I agree and I've added the link in the infobox. I also added the link when he's first mentioned in the body of the article.
I am also in favor of adding the link in the table - I think it's best that we be consistent within the table and link to every person who has an article. But I can see an argument against that, too, so we can wait to see what others think. ElKevbo (talk) 21:54, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Just found articles for Paul Sarvela, Albert Somit, and John Dunn (university president). Please note that John Dunn served as interim chancellor twice, so one wiki-link within the table should suffice unless others believe otherwise since both instances are quite close to each other. 96.69.249.93 (talk) 23:50, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
